Kicking Cancer for Lucas

On March 30th, 2016, 8 year old Lucas Jones was diagnosed with cancer—Rhabdomyosarcoma. On August 28th, CJ Hardy, a student at Tiger-Rock Martial Arts decided to shave his head in solidarity with his friend Lucas. This motion moved everyone around CJ, but that wasn’t enough. CJ wanted to more, and he knew exactly how.

After approaching his instructors at Tiger-Rock Martial Arts, it was decided that an event would be held for Lucas—a fund-raiser for his family and a spirit-raiser for him. That’s where you come into the picture.

Join us on Sunday September 25th from 2pm-4pm for the KICKING CANCER FOR LUCAS KICK-A-THON! There will be food, a bounce house, board breaking, cake walks, face painting, a silent auction, and lots more! All proceeds will go directly to the family of Lucas Jones to help support his cancer treatments and help find a cure for childhood cancer.

The Kick-A-Thon pledge sheets are available at Tiger-Rock Martial Arts (9111B Executive Park Drive, Knoxville, TN, 37923) or can be requested by sending an email to WestKnoxTigerRock@gmail.com. Kickers are asked to collect pledges for the number of kicks that they complete during the time period and turn them into Tiger-Rock Martial Arts of West Knoxville by September 30th. The Kick-A-Thon is open to the public—meaning anyone can help raise funds for Lucas.

With your help, we can help make this boy’s journey and battle a little easier and help put an end to childhood cancer.

For more information or register for the Kick-A-Thon, please call Tiger-Rock Martial Arts at 865-247-4437 or send us an email at WestKnoxTigerRock@gmail.com.
