HUNGER GAMES PARENTS DAY OUT

In this year's HUNGER GAMES, only three districts will be represented. You will be assigned a district upon entry to the training facility, meeting your team for the first time, creating bonds with those around you, and learning valuable skills necessary to your success within the Hunger Games. Take note of those around you, their skills, their weaknesses, and remember, your district is your family!

District 4 is one of the wealthiest districts of Panem. Its major industry is fishing, and children are trained for jobs in this industry at a young age. This training is also useful for tributes in the Hunger Games, as they have experience in swimming, using nets and tridents, making fishhooks from scratch, and identifying edible sea life.

District 6 of Panem is the Transportation district, and the largest district within Panem with a population of 784, 453 citizens. This district has produced some of The Capitol’s most technological advancements in transportation, including the hoverboard! More times than not, though, citizens of this district find jobs as porters, mechanics, conductors, and baggage handlers.

District 7 is covered with large portions of lush, green forest - as the district provides lumber and paper to the Capitol - and the people are known to be good with axes. This skill could be useful within the Hunger Games and beneficial to the success of a tribute. Lumberjacks and paper-makers litter this beautiful district as they serve their Capitol. District 7's tributes have learned to throw axes at an early age, making some of the tributes well trained. They also seem to prefer axes as their weapon of choice—So watch out other districts!
Tuesday November 8th, Knox County Schools will be closed for a teachers in-service day. Parents, we know you have to work. Leave your kiddos with us all day! There will be team challenges, athletic competitions, a fashion gala, a dance off, minute-to-win-it games, and individual tests designed to challenge your children physically, emotionally and intellectually! Our activities push kids to test their ability to think outside of the box and work together as a team! Bring a lunch! Snacks will be provided! Drop off is at 7:45am and pick up is at 3:00pm. Child care until class times is an additional $10.

Only:$40 for the first, then $30 per additional child.

Tiger-Rock appreciates your involvement in the Hunger Games and remember, Panem is watching out for you! May the odds be ever in your favor!
