This is week #3 of 8 in our current training cycle for our martial art programs.

We are rocking our curriculum stripes for the cycle, and are in preparations for our upcoming competitions. We would like to have a great turnout for our Tiger-Rock Martial Arts Mini-Academy Championships (Please see times below). In order to have the even run smoothly and plan accordingly, please sign up on either your kicksite account or at the front desk. The event is open to all students. The following weekend on March 7th and 8th, we have our Tiger-Rock National Tournament in Chattanooga, TN. And on March 22nd, our Tiger-Rock Grapplers will be competing in the Warrior Cup in Knoxville, TN. It is going to be a great month to win some MEDALS! We will be working on earning our yellow and green stripes this week. If you want to do a free-design form, please bring your music to classes with you this week.

We will have the following merit badges available this training cycle:
Skillbuilder Merit Badge: A minimum of 1x per week, students should run outside a minimum of ten minutes. If the student does not have a place to run, and/or not good weather, they may stay after their training class, and complete their merit badge requirements. Parents should have dates and minutes (minimum of 60 minutes) completed when completing the merit badge by April Rank Exams.
Character Builder Merit Badge: Students should earn at least one "Let me brag on my child" achievement within the training cycle. The parent should choose exceptional behavior demonstrated by their child, and complete the "Let me brag on my child" card. Remember, what gets rewarded, gets repeated.

Academy Mini-Championship Seminar. Join us as we prepare for the Tiger-Rock Nationals in Chattanooga, TN by attending our academy championships. Events include: Forms, Board Breaking, Sword, Extreme, Free-Design, and Team Sparring. $10.00 per person for all events. Free to All-Access Members. $10 per Team sparring (three members). Board Breaking, Sparring, and Traditional Forms will be held during regular event time. Free Design, Extreme, and Sword will be held at separate times.

A very exciting time for our Extreme Performance Team. The team of 17 students will be performing for the halftime show for the Harlem Globetrotters at Thompson Boling Arena on March 18th at 7:00p.m. We have discounted tickets available for only $20 in sections 112,113,114 and 128,129,130. If you would like tickets for your family please contact us at 865-247-4437 or stop by the front desk. We are asking for everyone to help us out and help sell our required 100 tickets, please post the photo to your facebook, email to friends, share on google+, etc. It is a very exciting opportunity for all of these young students.

We had a fantastic rank examinations last week, and all of our students did great. Whether, you achieved your training goals or not, your instructors are still extremely proud of you. We will have our promotion and rewards week this week. Each night we will have a special focus that will allow students to experience more Tiger-Rock programs and specialties other than TaeKwonDo. We return to regular schedule on WEDNESDAY.

We would like to remind everyone that for the upcoming cycle that students should bring their own focus target from home (especially if Blue Belt or Higher), and have them within their gear bags for classes.

Our upcoming weapon for the cycle is the Tactical Short Stick. Weapon classes are offered every Saturday from 12:00p.m.-12:45p.m. Students should purchase their own Tactical Short Stick ($18.55), or can rent the short stick for $5.00 per class. The weapons program is apart of the All-Access membership ($20.00/month), or classes are offered at $5.00 per class/per student.
