Rank Test and Awards Ceremony!

It's that time again for this cycle's color belt testing!  On Saturday December 19th, the Academy will be alive with the hustle and bustle of testing!

Testing times are as follows:

Tiger-Cubs, Junior White/Yellow belts: 9:30am

Junior Green-Red belts: 10:45am

Teens and Adults all belts: 12:30pm.

Don't forget to arrive at least 15 minutes early to prepare yourself physically and mentally! You've worked hard for this and now it's time to show what you've got. Full uniform is required; that means BELT, JACKET TOP, BLACK TIGER-ROCK PANTS, and RED TIGER-ROCK T-SHIRT!

Secondary testing is at 4pm on December 22nd. There is an additional $25 fee for secondary testing and you must let us know by Friday, December 18th if you need to participate in this secondary testing option.

Awards Ceremony is on December 22nd at 5:45pm. This will be a potluck event in celebration of the holidays and your accomplishments during the rank test!

• December 4^th: Tiger-Rock is participating in the city’s Christmas Parade at 6:00pm. Come out and see our fantastic float, our wonderful Demo Team, and our incredible world champions Radek Mochan and Kaite Kurdziel!
• December 5^th: the final day for the Christmas Sale! We will be hosting a BLOW OUT SALES EVENT with never-before-seen merch, dramatically reduced prices, a cocoa bar to keep you warm, and much more! More info to come!
• December 12^th (11am-2pm): Parent’s Day Out Santa Workshop! Leave the kiddos with us while you finish your Christmas shopping (or start it… oops…) for a day of fun, food, crafts, and games. $15 for the first child, $10 for each additional child.
• December 12^th (6pm): Teen and Adult Victors’ Pizza Party! Congrats to the winners of last cycle’s team challenge: Rex Wilson, Mila Glushenko, Josh Norman, Jean Skou, Sarah Dillon, William Blake, Jackson Grubbs, Sophia Hamilton! These teens and adults will be rewarded with a pizza party and a night of fun at Tiger-Rock Martial Arts!
• December 19^th: Colored Belt Rank Test!! Don’t forget to come prepared with full uniform, water bottles galore, and your winning spirit!!
• December 21^st: Academy closed

Tiger-Rock Martial Arts of West Knoxville will have a float in the parade as well as our demo team and our world champions Radek Molchan and Kaite Kurdziel! Tiger-Rock After School Program

Tiger-rock after school program. We offer after school pick-up to some of our community schools.  These schools are Bluegrass Elementary, A.L. October 24 Women's Self-Defense and Children's Board Breaking Seminars

On October 24th, Tiger Rock of West Knoxville will be having 2 different seminars. First, a women's self-defense and empowerment seminar from 9:30-10:30 AM where we will teach the basics of Women's Self-Defense as well as offer tips for safety in this increasinly dangerous world. Second, immdiately following the Women's Self-Defense seminar will be a Children's Board Breaking Seminar that will feature information on how to cope with the stressers of growing up and how to handle many of the situations that our children face in today's time such as bullying, peer pressure, and positive decision making skills. Both events are free, but boards for the board breaking seminar can be purchased for $2.50/each or 5 for $10.00 and all proceeds go to Breast Cancer research in our area.

This Monday, September 28, 2015, from 8:00AM to 4:00PM marks the first annual Tiger-Rock Hunger Games Inservice. While your tributes… I mean, Kiddos are out of school and you are looking for a way to occupy them, send them our way for a day filled with fun games, activities, challenges, team building, snacks, and music. Each tribute that shows up will be assigned to a group or a DISTRICT and given certain tasks to complete based off of their DISTRICT’s theme. The activities will include team challenges, athletic competitions, a fashion gala, a dance off, minute-to-win-it games, and individual tests designed to challenge your children physically, emotionally and intellectually and test their ability to think outside of the box and work together as a team. Through this event, the teams and individuals will be earning store money that can be used in the Hunger Games store to purchase armor and weaponry for the final exhibition. Each event and challenge leads up to this final exhibition of skill: THE HUNGER GAMES where each child will be given a certain number of balloons based off of their age and experience to protect while attempting to eliminate other players by popping their balloons and their District’s balloons. The winning District will be awarded certificates of achievement stating that they are the First Annual Hunger Games victors.

Registration is open to members and non-members alike and participation is $40 for the first tribute, $30 for each additional tribute.

Tiger-Rock Martial Arts of West Knoxville is offering world class martial arts instruction to all full time home schoolers and Co-op home schoolers at a reduced rate!!!!!
We at Tiger-Rock realize that it can be difficult to find the Physical Education credit requied for home schoolers, we'll we are your answer. Get fit, learn discipline, self-control, confidence and self defense while earning your PE credit.
This gives your homeschooler a way to get out of the house and stimulate their need for social interaction, in a safe, positive environment!!
Our reduced monthy tuition rates are:


$79.00 for one student
$99.00 for two students
$109.00 for families


This will allow these students to participate in our day time classes and also on saturday. Which will allow for up to three attendances a week.
