GREETINGS TIGER-ROCK FAMILY!
It's that time again for this cycle's color belt testing! On Saturday Feb 20, TOMORROW!!!!, the Academy will be alive with the hustle and bustle of testing!
Testing times are as follows:
Tiger-Cubs, Junior White/Yellow belts: 9:30am
Junior Green-Red belts: 10:45am
Teens and Adults all belts: 12:30pm.
Don't forget to arrive at least 15 minutes early to prepare yourself physically and mentally! You've worked hard for this and now it's time to show what you've got. Full uniform is required; that means BELT, JACKET TOP, BLACK TIGER-ROCK PANTS, PATCHES ON YOUR JACKET and RED TIGER-ROCK T-SHIRT!
CHECK YOUR SPARRING GEAR! If you do not have all of your gear, you will not pass your exam. We do have a collection of gear that has been confiscated from around the academy behind the desk which means someone out there is missing some gear. Make sure it isn’t you! You need both feet, both hand pads, both bag gloves, your helmet, your mouthpiece, a cup (gentlemen, we’re looking at you), and a focus target if you already have it! Make sure you’re prepared!!
Secondary testing is at 4:30 pm on Feb 23nd. There is an additional $25 fee for secondary testing and you must let us know by Friday, Feb 19th if you need to participate in this secondary testing option.
If you are not testing, you may also want to attend to cheer on your friends and peers and to get a feel for what testing looks like if you haven’t seen it before.
Remember, we will not be having classes on Monday or Tuesday. Our Awards Ceremony will be TUESDAY at 6:00pm. Next week is BUDDY WEEK so feel free to bring a friend on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday to join in the celebrations. Wednesday is TOURIST DAY so feel free to dress like a tourist from the waist up. This means bring out your best Hawaiian shirt and fanny-pack to don with you Tiger-Rock pants and new belt to show your school spirit. Thursday is fight night to be sure to bring all of your sparring gear and gear up for the first time of the cycle. Friday is Celebrity Look-A-Like day so come in with your best Elvis or Beyoncee’ impression and your Tiger-Rock pants and belt and get ready to make this place look like Hollywood Boulevard!
